Wolves are set to revive their interest in Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott this summer.
According to the Telegraph, Julen Lopetegui’s side will make fresh efforts to sign the England under-20 international as a number of Premier League clubs begin to circle.
Tottenham and West Ham are among the top-flight teams eyeing Scott, who impressed for The Robins in their FA Cup fifth round defeat to Manchester City last month.
But former Spain and Real Madrid coach Lopetegui is said to have earmarked the 19-year-old’s signing despite his club opting against signing the player for a £25m fee in January.
Wolves’ interest in Scott comes amid doubts over the long-term futures of established midfielders João Moutinho and club captain Rúben Neves.
Just 19, Scott broke into the Bristol City first team last season and already has 75 appearances to his name, scoring five goals.
Since Lopetegui’s arrival, the Molineux club have taken huge strides towards Premier League survival. They sit five points clear of the relegation zone ahead of Sunday’s trip to Newcastle United.
