Wolves are reportedly keen on adding Lille’s Renato Sanches to their Portuguese contingent.
The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool last summer, but a deal with the Merseysiders never materialised.
The French club are in dire financial straits, however, and, according to Foot Mercato, are willing to listen to offers for Sanches, Jonathan Ikoné, and Zeki Çelik.
The French website has claimed that Wolves are particularly interested in former Benfica and Bayern Munich midfielder Sanches, with the Premier League outfit ready to pay €25m for his services.
Manager Bruno Lage could certainly do with the energy of Sanches in a midfield that is still heavily reliant on the nous of 35-year-old João Moutinho.
Coincidentally, both players were introduced as second-half substitutes during Portugal’s 0-0 draw with Ireland in Dublin on Thursday.
Time will tell if they end up on the same side at Molineux come the new year.
