Che Adams could be set for a Championship return after the 2026 World Cup, with Wolverhampton Wanderers interested. TuttoMercatoWeb reports that Wolves are keen to land the Torino striker and that he is open to a move back to England, with Venezia also interested.

At the 2026 World Cup, England beat Croatia 4-2 then drew 0-0 with Ghana. Scotland opened with a 1-0 win over Haiti, and Adams has started both of their matches, involved in the build-up to John McGinn’s winner. He has not scored yet.

The 29-year-old arrived at the tournament after an eight-goal season with Torino and is enjoying his football. His future beyond the finals, however, appears to be in play.

A Southampton reunion has been floated, with Saints seeking reinforcements up front after Ross Stewart’s exit. Adams owns 49 Championship goals, most of them for Southampton.

Wolves, aiming for an immediate Premier League return and potentially rivaling Southampton for promotion, could view him as a ready-made option. Adams has strong Midlands ties, having scored 38 times for Birmingham earlier in his career.

He previously dovetailed with Adam Armstrong when Southampton secured promotion in 2023/24 under Russell Martin. That history underlines his Championship pedigree.

For now, his focus stays with Scotland as they push towards the knockouts. Any club move would come after the tournament, and a switch to Molineux would add another promotion bid to his CV if it materialises.
