Wolves are shaping plans for the second half of the season and could move for Kalvin Phillips this month, potentially on loan.
FourFourTwo reports that Wolves are considering a temporary deal until the end of the season. The report adds that his homegrown status is part of the appeal and any move would likely require a fitness check, while a loan could imply City support with wages.
Phillips has had loan spells at West Ham United and Ipswich Town without making a mark, and he remains on the fringes at Manchester City. The report says a revival at City is unlikely.
Rob Edwards delivered his and Wolves’ first win at the weekend as West Ham United were swept aside at Molineux. The result offered some optimism, but the league position remains precarious and January business could be a catalyst.
Any move for Phillips would carry risk, given his limited minutes and the dip since joining City. A fresh start under Edwards could help, yet Wolves may prefer a signing who can hit the ground running.
