Brentford have agreed a £20m deal in principle to sign former Leeds loanee Jaidon Anthony from Burnley, while ex-Whites left back Liam McCarron is set for a trial with newly-promoted SPL St Johnstone.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the agreement comprises a £17m fixed fee plus £3m in add-ons, and Anthony is set to sign a five-year contract. The Dundee Courier reports St Johnstone plan to take the 25-year-old on trial.
Anthony spent 2023-24 on loan at Leeds from Bournemouth, then joined Burnley on a permanent deal in May 2025.
Burnley were relegated last season and return to the Championship, but the winger enjoyed a decent campaign personally. A switch would take him from the Clarets to Brentford.
McCarron joined Leeds from Carlisle United as an 18-year-old in July 2019 and made his first-team debut under Marcelo Bielsa in the December 2019 home defeat to Arsenal.
He later left for Stoke City in June 2022, had a loan at Port Vale, then spells with Northampton Town and Boston United, joining the latter in February. Boston released him this summer at the end of his contract.
