Gaviões da Fiel finish runners-up at São Paulo Carnival

On the afternoon of this Tuesday (17th), the results of the special group of the São Paulo Samba Schools Parade were announced at the Anhembi Sambadrome. The main organized supporters group of Corinthians, Gaviões da Fiel, was the runner-up with 269.7 points distributed across 9 judged categories.

With the theme “Ancestral Voices for a New Tomorrow,” the school presented a parade celebrating Brazilian forests and the indigenous peoples of Brazil, highlighting the complaints and violence suffered by these peoples since the arrival of the Portuguese in the territory now known as Brazil. Gaviões was just one-tenth of a point behind the champion Mocidade Alegre, narrowly missing the coveted fifth championship.

The theme was fulfilled and brought to the avenue respecting the school's tradition of not using the color green and featuring the largest float of the entire São Paulo carnival, measuring 72 meters, designed by carnival designers Rayner Pereira and Julio Poloni.

For the second consecutive year, Gaviões da Fiel will parade again in the Champions Parade. Last year, the school presented the theme “Irin Ajó Emi Ojisé (The Journey of the Messenger Spirit)” discussing the importance of masks for African peoples and the diversity among them, finishing in third place in the 2025 Carnival.
