Leeds United left Villa Park with a valuable point after late disappointment, and the weekend could yet work in their favour.

According to Leeds Live, Daniel Farke altered his league line-up from the trip to Chelsea, with Bijol, Bornauw and Nmecha making way for Struijk, Calvert-Lewin and Stach.

Justin was preferred to Bijol and later switched to left-back in the second half, underlining his adaptability and the trust he currently enjoys under Farke.

On his return, Stach reminded everyone of his threat from distance with a 40-yard effort that stirred memories of his long-range prowess.

Villa had 67% of possession but mustered only four shots on target, the same as Leeds. The draw at the third-placed side moved Farke’s team to 31 points with 11 matches remaining.

It was a strong away display, yet the wait for a league win on the road continues, with just one from 14 so far. Liverpool at Nottingham Forest and Arsenal at Tottenham today could make the point even more useful for Leeds, as away wins for both would nudge them a further point clear of two relegation rivals, having matched what West Ham did last night.
