Crystal Palace have completed the signing of forward Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 25-year-old has agreed a four-and-a-half-year contract with an option for a further 12 months.
According to The Athletic, Wolves accepted a £43 million fee plus £5 million in add-ons for the Norway international striker, who is Palace’s third January arrival, and AC Milan had agreed a deal of more than €30 million for Jean-Philippe Mateta before further medical tests in London led the Italians to withdraw earlier today.
Strand Larsen had attracted interest from several Premier League clubs in recent months. He featured on a four-striker shortlist at Nottingham Forest, while Leeds United made a bid earlier in the window and West Ham United expressed interest in December.
Newcastle United pursued him last summer, with bids of £50 million and £55 million rejected, before they signed Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa.
He has made 26 appearances in all competitions for Wolves this season, scoring six goals, just one in the Premier League, with the side bottom of the table.
Strand Larsen joined Wolves on loan from Celta Vigo in July 2024 and scored 14 league goals in his first season at Molineux. He moved permanently the following summer for €27 million and signed a new five-year contract in September.
