Gavi sends message to on-loan Barcelona teammate after starring showing vs Real Madrid | OneFootball

Barcelona star Gavi has taken to social media, to send a message of support and congratulations the way of on-loan teammate Iñaki Peña.

This comes with the latter fresh off a starring performance, which afforded a welcome boost to his parent club in their pursuit of the La Liga title.

Peña was for his part in from the off on Sunday evening, as Elche played host to Real Madrid in a La Liga clash.

And en route to the newly-promoted outfit securing a surprise share of the spoils, the shot-stopper played a leading role.

Peña, over the course of the 90 minutes, conjured up a number of top saves, to hold Real Madrid’s attacking stars at bay.

Barcelona, as a result, have closed the gap on their table-topping arch rivals to just a solitary point.

And as alluded to above, quick to make known his delight for his friend and former teammate was Blaugrana midfielder Gavi.

Taking to his official Instagram account, Gavi unveiled a photo of Peña, accompanied by the caption:

“Well done Iñakiiiii. I’m very happy for you my brother”
