Raul Jimenez has left the door ajar on a Wolves return after Sunday’s final home game against Fulham, prompting a flurry of mixed supporter reaction.
Jimenez said: "Why not? There is always a possibility. Let's see." He told ExpressAndStar.com, which also understands there have been early conversations over a potential return. He added: "It would be nice, more after today, let's see." Asked if a summer move could happen, he replied: "I don't know, maybe. But I don't know."
The cult hero is Wolves’ record Premier League scorer with 40 league goals across a five-year spell. He departed in 2023 with 57 in all competitions and has 28 in almost 100 Fulham appearances.
Many fans urged him to come back, some calling it savvy business for a Championship campaign and a lift after a poor season.
Others were cautious, citing his age of 35 and arguing Wolves should target younger, Championship-proven forwards capable of playing 44 games and hitting 20 goals or more.
Supporters also argued he would still be more than good enough for the Championship, noting his Premier League form for a Fulham side chasing Europe until the final day.
