Stoiber hands Bayern supervisory board chair to Dieter Reiter

Edmund Stoiber, 84, has stepped down as chairman of Bayern Munich’s supervisory board, and the position will pass to Dieter Reiter. According to BuLi News, the change follows Stoiber’s long tenure at the club.
A Bayern member since 1966, Stoiber joined the supervisory board in 1988 and became its chairman in 1992.
He will be honoured at the Allianz Arena on Sunday during the club’s honorary matchday. He has also been named Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Reiter, Munich’s mayor, has served on the supervisory board since 2017.
Jochen Tschunke and Peter Kerspe also departed on Friday 6 February. Tschunke had served since 1994, Kerspe since 2018.
Elisabeth Promberger, Dr Klaus-Peter Röhler, Alexander Sixt and Max Viessmann have been newly appointed to the board.
Alexandra Schörghuber remains deputy chair of the administrative advisory board.
