Corinthians frustrated by Greek and English bids, still hope to sell André | OneFootball

Corinthians have been left frustrated in negotiations with Greek and English clubs over midfielder André, but still hope to complete a sale in 2026.

According to Globo.com, the club has budgeted around R$ 150 million in transfer income for 2026 and see the 20-year-old as a key asset, yet no player has been sold so far.

Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos, both owned by Evangelos Marinakis, tabled bids that were rejected. Forest offered €12 million, about R$ 71.6 million, while Olympiacos proposed €10 million plus add-ons, roughly R$ 59.7 million.

Corinthians expected Forest to return with an improved proposal in recent days, but it did not arrive. With England's window shut on Tuesday and Greece open until the 15th, a move to Olympiacos is currently viewed as difficult.

The São Paulo side made counteroffers in both cases, without success. They leaned on agent Giuliano Bertolucci to try to close a deal, while Forest's approach came via Diogo Silva, André's representative.

Other markets remain open, including Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, but André's camp do not view these options as ideal.

The board still hope to sell André this year, ideally keeping him until the end of the season. In March, Corinthians exchanged paperwork with Milan over a €17 million sale, before president Osmar Stabile pulled out following coach Dorival Júnior's request and a negative reaction from supporters.
