Frédéric De Boever will leave Monaco at the end of June after the club chose not to renew the goalkeeping coach’s contract.

According to Nice Matin, the move is part of a wider restructuring that has already seen performance director Yann Le Meur replaced by Javier Arnaiz.

De Boever arrived in 2022 alongside Philippe Clement and remained in post through two head coach changes, first to Adi Hütter then to Sébastien Pocognoli.

He has drawn regular criticism amid goalkeeping performances judged disappointing in recent seasons, with Alexander Nübel, Philipp Köhn and Radoslaw Majecki all under scrutiny.

Monaco have not yet settled on a successor. The choice could depend on the identity of the head coach, with the hierarchy set to assess Sébastien Pocognoli’s future after a poor season that could yet finish without European football.
