Köln ‘to explore’ January loan for Jakub Kaminski after €17m Benfica transfer | OneFootball

Köln are studying a January return for winger Jakub Kaminski, months after his €17m move to Benfica.

The Bundesliga club are monitoring his situation and assessing what kind of deal could facilitate a comeback in the winter window. Bild claims a loan is the most likely route at this stage, and that no formal offer has been made.

The Poland international joined Benfica in the summer, and under Marco Silva has one goal and two assists in eight appearances, totalling 341 minutes.

Given his game time, Köln are evaluating whether to pursue a deal in the next window. The interest remains at an early stage and would hinge on Silva’s plans for the player and Kaminski’s own preference.

Benfica have been seeking a new destination for the 24-year-old since late August.

Kaminski left a strong impression at Köln last season, scoring seven goals in 36 matches. The club continue to track his progress from afar while weighing up a possible return.
