Le Havre pass up chance to sign Raheem Sterling | OneFootball

Raheem Sterling (31), currently out of contract and embroiled in legal issues, has been offered to two French clubs, including Le Havre AC, as per a report from Foot Mercato.

Sterling spent last season at Feyenoord. He joined the Dutch side following the end of his contract at Arsenal, but failed to get his career back on track. Back in May, he was arrested after crashing his Lamborghini in Hampshire. The court case is currently ongoing, with the former England international admitting to dangerous driving earlier this month. The former Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea forward also admitted to possessing nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

However, Sterling still has designs on returning to football and, in the search for a new challenge, has set his sights on France, Foot Mercato understands. Keen to leave England, he has been offered to two Ligue 1 clubs, including Le Havre, who are currently bottom of Ligue 1. However, HAC declined the offer, as did the other, unnamed, top-flight side.
