The Ligue 2 match between Bastia and Le Mans was halted on Saturday after flares were thrown moments after Le Mans’ second goal.

According to Le Progres, the LFP disciplinary commission opened an inquiry on Sunday and will rule on Wednesday 13 May, citing urgency and the need to ensure the proper conduct of the competitions.

The decisive fixture on the final day at Stade Furiani was stopped in the 91st minute and never restarted.

Le Mans led 2-0 at that moment, a result that would have confirmed promotion to Ligue 1 and sent Bastia down.

The commission’s decision will set out the consequences for both clubs.
