Memphis Depay made his comeback for Corinthians after injury, with his deal due to expire on 20 June, as they beat Atlético Mineiro 1-0 on Sunday in the Campeonato Brasileiro.

According to Meu Timao, the Dutch forward has featured 13 times for the club, scoring one goal and supplying one assist, and he is keeping an eye on the Netherlands World Cup squad announcement on Wednesday 27.

He was introduced on 16 minutes of the second half at Neo Química Arena, replacing midfielder André Luiz, in what was his first outing under head coach Fernando Diniz.

Depay had a quiet cameo, recording 27 touches, completing 88% of his passes, losing possession 10 times and drawing two fouls.

He had been sidelined since 22 March with a right hamstring problem. A projected April return was delayed after a setback in his recovery, and calf discomfort last week kept him out against Peñarol.
