Official: Fofana leaves Milan and joins Sevilla on a one-year loan deal

Youssouf Fofana will be in Spain for the next season.

Fofana was one of the players frozen out of the squad as he did not fit Amorim’s system. However, demand was lacking for the Frenchman who now finds himself in La Liga.

“Milan can confirm that Youssouf Fofana has joined Sevilla FC on loan until 30 June 2027. The Club would like to thank Youssouf for his professionalism and dedication that he has shown and wish him all the best for the upcoming season,” a statement reads.

The 27-year-old joined Milan from Monaco in 2024 and was mostly a starter under different coaches but he did not live up to the expectations. He’ll hope to find new life with Sevilla and return to Milan next summer.
