Rob Edwards reportedly rejects Burnley job | OneFootball

Rob Edwards has reportedly rejected Burnley's approach for their vacant manager's job. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the former Wolves boss was contacted but declined an immediate return to the dugout.

Burnley were close to appointing Wales boss Craig Bellamy, then turned to Edwards when that move fell apart.

Edwards, 43, was sacked by Wolves earlier this month as the club replaced him with Cesar Peixoto.

He first learned of plans to replace him via social media reports, then was dismissed over the phone the next morning while on a family holiday.

Some senior staff at Wolves were also unaware before the leak, with chairman Nathan Shi and owners Fosun taking the decision while working with agent Jorge Mendes to finalise Peixoto's arrival.
