Santiago Bueno voted Wolves player of the season as club confirm awards | OneFootball

Santiago Bueno has been voted Wolves player of the season as the club confirmed their end-of-season awards.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the honours were presented after Friday's training session at Compton Park, ahead of the final match at Burnley.

The Uruguayan received 34 per cent of the fans' vote, finishing ahead of Joao Gomes and Hugo Bueno. The 27-year-old made 33 appearances in defence and scored four goals, including his first for the club at Spurs and an FA Cup winner at Grimsby Town.

Gomes, last season's player of the season, collected the players' player of the year award. He also received Wolves' men's community player of the season and the club's PFA community champion for his work with the Wolves Foundation over the last 12 months.

Hugo Bueno won goal of the season for his strike against the newly crowned Premier League champions Arsenal, and he was also April's player of the month.

Wolves Women were recognised after earning a historic promotion to WSL 2. Supporters chose Georgia Marshall as player of the season, with Amber Hughes named players' player.

Abbi Jenner took goal of the season for her effort against Sporting Khalsa. Hughes finished as top scorer and claimed the league's Golden Boot with 21 goals in the 2025/26 campaign. Louanne Worsey was named Wolves' PFA women's community champion.
