Santos visit Corinthians on Sunday at 16:00 at Neo Química Arena in the 25th round of the Brasileirão. Cuca’s side need a win to pull away from the lower end of the table, but they have not won in Itaquera for four years, with only two victories there.

The first of those was a 2-1 success on 26 August 2015 in the Copa do Brasil last-16 second leg, with goals from Gabriel Barbosa and Ricardo Oliveira. Acervo Santos reports that the clubs have met 354 times.

Santos have 112 wins, 102 draws and 140 defeats in the fixture, scoring 520 and conceding 608.

The most recent Itaquera win came 2-1 on 2 February 2022 in the Paulista first phase, round 3, when Marcos Leonardo scored both goals.

Under Fábio Carille, Santos started João Paulo in goal and a back four of Madson, Kaiky, Bauermann and Felipe Jonatan, who was later replaced by Lucas Pires. Camacho, later Sanchez, partnered Zanocelo in midfield, with Ângelo, later Allanzinho, Goulart, later Léo Baptistão, and Lucas Braga, later Marcos Guilherme, supporting Marcos Leonardo.

At Neo Química Arena, Santos have played 26 matches. Against Corinthians there have been two wins, eight draws and 12 defeats from 22 meetings. Elsewhere at the ground, there was one defeat to Novorizontino, one win and one draw against Bragantino, and a defeat to Coritiba.
