Sevilla sign Giorgi Kochorashvili from Sporting de Portugal | OneFootball

CD Castellón will have another representative in Primera División after Sevilla confirmed the signing of Georgian midfielder Giorgi Kochorashvili from Sporting de Portugal. Newly arrived in the Andalusian capital, he has been named in Luis García Plaza’s squad to visit Athletic Club at San Mamés on Saturday, where he could face fellow former Castellón player Beñat Gerenabarrena.

According to EFE, Sevilla have paid 4.5 million euros for the former Girona, Castellón and Levante player.

The agreement runs for four years, until 2030, includes 1 million in add-ons, and Sporting retain 10 percent of any future sale.

Kochorashvili, 27, is a full international with 26 caps for Georgia. He knows Spanish football well, having come through the academies at Girona and Levante and spent a season on loan at Castellón.

He made a brief Primera División debut with Levante, then was a key figure in their 2024-2025 promotion to the top flight, before signing for Sporting.
