Rennes beat Marseille 1-0 at Roazhon Park on Friday, rising from fifth to first in Ligue 1 thanks to Adrien Thomasson's second half winner.

In the 51st minute Amine Harit forced a flying save from Brice Samba, moments before Thomasson tucked in from close range (52.).

Jeffrey de Lange kept Les Phocéens alive with six saves, notably thwarting Valentin Rongier and Ludovic Blas as the visitors chased a response.
