Midlands transfer talk features Sasa Kaladzjic’s Wolves future, with a summer exit said to be increasingly unlikely, renewed Leeds interest in Ladislav Krejci, Albion’s contract deadline, and a fresh link to Jarrod Bowen.
According to Talksport, Aston Villa ‘will make a move’ for West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen this summer if Unai Emery adds wide options. The 29-year-old posted 11 goals and 12 assists last season.
Kaladzjic, who turns 29 next week, has one year left on his deal plus a 12-month option and spent last season on loan at LASK. A goalscoring hero for his nation at the current World Cup, he was a high earner at Wolves and, despite a relegation pay cut, any move is said to mean a significant wage drop. New head coach Cesar Peixoto could assess the injury-hit former Stuttgart striker, signed for £15 million in 2022.
Wolves defender Ladislav Krejci, 27, has again been linked with Leeds. He joined permanently for £26 million this summer after an impressive loan. Leeds, seeking a replacement for Pascal Struijk as he joins Brighton, are said to be weighing Krejci alongside free agent Danilho Doekhi and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Nico Elvedi.
June 30 is the cut-off for expiring deals, with out-of-contract players becoming free agents after today. At Albion, Karlan Grant and Josh Maja reach the end of their terms, with a new offer to Maja and talks ongoing with Grant. From Tuesday they are no longer attached to Hawthorns contracts. The pair have been at Albion for six and three years respectively.
