While FC Bayern’s new home jersey is being celebrated by many fans, the Oktoberfest jersey for the 2026/27 season is likely to be the subject of much more controversy. The first leaks now show an unusually colourful design that breaks with the traditional Oktoberfest looks of previous years

The new home jersey had recently received a lot of praise, mainly because Adidas opted for a classic red and white design with gold accents again this time

It was precisely this traditional style that many fans had wanted in previous years

However, Adidas is now apparently going in a completely different direction with the Oktoberfest jersey. An image leaked on X shows a predominantly black jersey with eye-catching, colorful floral patterns on the front

What is particularly interesting is that despite the modern look, Adidas has once again opted for a traditional look for the club logo. The classic adidas Originals logo is also to be seen on the chest

The contrast between modern streetwear style and traditional elements is likely to divide fans‘ opinions

Adidas abandons the classic Oktoberfest style

In previous years, the Wiesn jerseys were usually more subtle and traditional in design, with natural tones, traditional elements and classic patterns often taking center stage. The new version, on the other hand, is much bolder and more alternative

Visually, the design is more reminiscent of modern fashion collections or streetwear drops than classic soccer shirts, but younger fans in particular are likely to celebrate the eye-catching style

Bayern fans want more tradition

Especially after several controversial jersey designs in recent years, the desire for more tradition is growing again around the club

The South Curve has also recently emphasized several times that they would like to see jerseys that are more closely aligned with the classic club colors

With the new home and away jerseys, Adidas seems to have at least partially taken up this wish

The Wiesn jersey, on the other hand, is likely to be deliberately polarizing – and could therefore once again become a bestseller.
