Sport Insider reports that Corinthians has been paying for president Osmar Stabile’s personal security since July 2025 via a firm without Federal Police authorisation.
The company, Bear Security, is based in Realengo, Rio de Janeiro, and was founded in January 2025. The report said Corinthians is its only client, and two of four staff guarded Stabile and relatives before he took office.
Activity intensified after 26 May 2025, when Stabile became president. The guards then served the club under an initially verbal arrangement that was later formalised.
A club statement, carried in the report, said the hire passed internal governance and compliance, and was chosen due to Stabile’s trust in the personnel.
The report added the company lacks the mandatory licence and is registered in the name of a police officer’s wife involved in the service. It also said Bear Security has issued 12 invoices only to Corinthians, totalling about R$ 587,000.
On invoice sequencing, the club attributed changes to Rio’s switch to the national e-invoice system in December 2025 after tax reform. The episode adds to recent administrative scrutiny, including a security firm in the name of then operations manager Fernando José da Silva, use of a corporate card for players’ phones, and a progressing impeachment request.
