Corinthians have signed Uhelliton Bonfim de Souza, known as OitoMeia, 39, to bolster their futsal side for the remainder of 2026. The club said in a post that the experienced wing arrives after four seasons in Italian futsal.
OitoMeia has been a familiar face at the Ginásio Wlamir Marques, training and undergoing physiotherapy with staff while unattached.
He becomes the team's third addition of the year after Kevin and Fabinho. Kevin has already departed having failed to adapt to the professional game.
Born in Guarulhos, he came through football and futsal schools and joined Brasiliense in 2005 at 17, sharing a dressing room with Vampeta and Marcelinho Carioca.
He made his name with Jaraguá, staying seven seasons, with a brief spell at Marreco in 2016. Even through a rebuild he remained a key figure and finished one campaign as the club's top scorer.
A highlight came in 2014 when he beat Falcão with a lambreta in a match against Sorocaba. Before agreeing with Corinthians, he most recently played for Petrarca Calcio.
Corinthians face a testing league campaign, near the Z2 in the LNF and 13th, one place above the relegation play-offs. In the Paulista, they could go top by beating Indaiatuba on Wednesday.
