Raheem Sterling is still hanging on at Chelsea despite five clubs showing an interest in signing him in the summer window.
Sterling now looks like he is going to be stuck at Chelsea now until at least January and in all honesty, is there any guarantees that he’s going to find a club to join then? I don’t think there is. He has very high wages and clubs are not interested in paying them. So he’s going to have to be prepared to either drop those wages or head to somewhere like Saudi where he can still earn a decent wage.
But that is the other issue, Sterling wants to stay close to family in London so the clubs that he can go to are vastly reduced if he wants to stay in London. It’s a real issue, and he has become a real problem player for Chelsea that will not go away. He’s now hanging on to the club and they’re paying him big wages to do absolutely nothing.

According to the The BBC, five clubs showed interest in Raheem Sterling but those options never materialised.
Those clubs were:
– Leverkusen – Juventus – West Ham – Fulham – Crystal Palace
Other foreign windows are still open but Sterling is unlikely to go to somewhere like Turkey right now as that would not suit his family and he would not want to be far from London.
As the BBC report, Sterling would prefer to stay near London. His son Thiago is in Arsenal’s academy and Sterling wants to avoid disrupting his family life again.
So this situation is a dire one for all involved really.
