Raúl Jiménez is set for a Wolves return after leaving Fulham, with an América comeback on hold. According to Americayya.net, he is a free agent after Fulham chose not to renew his contract and an agreement has been reached for him to rejoin the English club.

Talk of an América return had grown in recent months, especially once his free agency was confirmed. Wolves executives travelled to Mexico to negotiate directly with the striker, and they appear to have won the race.

He will link up after concluding his participation in the World Cup.

Wolves were relegated this season to England’s second tier, and are building an experienced squad to climb back to the Premier League.

Any América homecoming will have to wait. At 35, Jiménez is in his final years, and a return could arrive in a couple of years. If things go well with Wolves and they return to the Premier League, he would stay for another season.
