According to Superdeporte, Valencia’s January agenda remains busy. Umar Sadiq’s arrival fills a gap left in August, yet at least one further addition is still anticipated because Diakhaby’s serious injury compels the club to recruit a defender.
Departures are not ruled out this month, which could trigger further arrivals. Ron Gourlay has his own roadmap, and whether it affects Largie Ramazani’s immediate future remains to be seen.
The Belgian winger has featured in nine league matches under Corberán, all as a substitute, with an assist on his debut his standout moment. A muscle problem then kept him out for about a month and a half.
Ramazani struck up a prolific partnership with Sadiq at Almería in 21-22, the promotion season. Sadiq recorded 19 goals and 9 assists, while Ramazani scored 9 and added one assist. A similar connection could yet emerge at Mestalla.
Asked about a reunion, Sadiq said he does not know whether Ramazani will stay or go, described him as a great team-mate and felt he can give his best.
Diakhaby’s lay-off also shapes the budget. Valencia will gain around two million euros in Fair Play once LaLiga’s medical commission confirms the injury exceeds four months and, with the player’s approval, the club processes his deregistration. The regulations allow access to 40% of the injured player’s salary if the absence is longer than four months.
