Valencia have six days to refine Corberán’s squad, with 25 senior registrations filled after Unai Núñez and Guido Rodríguez joined training in Paterna on Monday alongside Umar Sadiq. The arrivals bolster a spine weakened in summer by the exits of Mosquera, Enzo Barrenechea and Sadiq.
According to AS, any further addition would require a departure, unless an under-23 arrives on a B-team registration. If space opens, the focus could be a centre-back, enabling a back three with wing-backs, or a winger. Who leaves remains unclear.
Players viewed as possible exits are Raba, Santamaría, Eray Cömert, Ramazani and Andre Almeida. Raba has not played in La Liga since one December against Rayo. Santamaría sits behind Pepelu and Guido, Cömert is not being renewed, Ramazani has played little, and Almeida is down the pecking order.
The likeliest scenario is that they stay. Raba and Santamaría are not contemplating moves for personal reasons and plan to revisit in summer, both under contract. Ramazani and Cömert have proved useful depth, the former contracted to Leeds to 2028 and the latter recently changing agents ahead of free agency.
Almeida stands apart. He renewed in September to 2029 and remains the most used of that group, 13 league games and nine starts. Corberán values his different profile and versatility, in the double pivot, as a second striker or off the left, though he is not in the current XI. Porto and then Besiktas were rebuffed last year, and only finances could trigger a sale now.
