What Flamengo still need to sign Lucas Paquetá

According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo are ready to make Lucas Paquetá the biggest signing in Brazilian football history, with a key meeting with West Ham set for Friday 16.

The remaining sticking point is when he would be released. Flamengo and the player want an immediate move, while West Ham prefer he stays until the end of the English league.

Flamengo have held firm on an immediate arrival, though they could be willing to wait three months if that is the only way a deal happens.

The clubs are close on price. The deal is likely to be €35 million fixed, plus €5 million in bonuses, roughly R$ 217 million and R$ 31 million.

Friday's meeting is scheduled for around 11:00 Brasília time and is expected to address the final details. The midfielder is pushing to return to the club that developed him in its youth system.
