Corinthians drew 1-1 with São Paulo at Neo Química Arena, and coach Dorival Júnior ruled Memphis Depay out of Thursday's meeting with Santos, urging caution over the forward's return.

According to Meu Timao, youngster Kayke Ferrari started alongside Yuri Alberto in the derby in the third round of the Campeonato Paulista.

Dorival said the staff are still assessing internal attacking options. Whoever offers the strongest response in matches will keep getting chances.

He added Memphis has begun the transition phase but still has physical limitations and pain, so no date is being set for a comeback. The staff prefer not to accelerate stages of his recovery.

Defender Cacá was omitted after sustaining an injury, missing recent training and continuing treatment with the medical department.

Rodrigo Garro remains out as he recovers from left wrist surgery. José Martínez travelled to his home country to regularise his passport and is yet to return, with arrival in São Paulo expected later this weekend.

Corinthians face Santos at Vila Belmiro at 19h30 on Thursday 22, in the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista.
