According to English sources, including The Athletic, Arsenal announced on Thursday that they have reached a final agreement with their French defender William Saliba for the signing of a long-term contract. This move aims to ensure defensive stability for the team and to shield the player from the interest of major European clubs, particularly Real Madrid.

At 24 years old, Saliba received several offers from different European clubs. However, he chose to continue his journey with Arsenal, where he was already under contract until June 30, 2027.Saliba joined Arsenal in 2019 from AS Saint-Étienne, before spending two seasons out on loan with Nice and Marseille.Since 2022, he has become a key player for the Gunners, making 139 official appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists. The official announcement of the new contract signing is expected in the coming days, further strengthening the defensive stability of the London club.
