Flamengo paid R$ 107 million to sign Carrascal

Flamengo spent a total of R$ 107 million to sign Jorge Carrascal, a sum in focus after his recent red card against Palmeiras.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the club paid R$ 94.2 million for federative rights and a signing-on fee, plus R$ 12.8 million in intermediary costs.

The report adds that Carrascal is, for now, dissatisfied at the club, with pressure from supporters following the Palmeiras dismissal in the Brasileirão.

There have been no offers or even enquiries for the midfielder, who is under contract until December 2029.

He is available to face Cusco (PER) at the Maracanã on Tuesday 26, the final round of the Libertadores group stage, with kick-off at 21h30 (Brasília time).
