Lyon have reached an agreement with La Liga giants Real Madrid over a loan move for Brazil international centre-forward Endrick (19), according to L’EquipeLes Gones were in the market for a reliable striker after parting ways with Alexandre Lacazette and Georges Mikautadze in the summer. Endrick was targeted early on to bolster Paulo Fonseca’s side for the second part of the season, and the Brazilian 19-year-old quickly agrees to make the move to the Ligue 1 side.

The 19-year-old was looking for more regular game time to increase his chances of making Carlo Ancelotti’s World Cup squad with Brazil. With little to no game time in the Spanish capital, Endrick will join Lyon on a six-month loan move with no obligation to buy. Lyon will pay Real Madrid a €1m loan fee to bring in Endrick, who will inherit the No. 9 jersey.

Les Gones currently face a race against time to rely on Endrick for their Ligue 1 away game at Monaco on Saturday January 3.
