Real Sociedad and Real Madrid go head-to-head in La Liga on Saturday afternoon.
Both sides will be looking for crucial points in what promises to be an intriguing encounter at the Reale Arena, with Los Blancos aiming to maintain their perfect start while Sociedad seek their first win of the season.
Sergio Francisco’s side has returned to training in preparation for the big match against Real Madrid. Jon Martin already joined the session on Tuesday, with more players expected to arrive later. There are no fresh injury concerns. Further reports to be received after the pre-match press conference.
Jude Bellingham continues his recovery from shoulder surgery and is making encouraging progress in training. While initially expected to be out until late October, he hopes to return by the end of September to take part in the derby against Atletico Madrid. Bellingham, along with Eduardo Camavinga, have started participating in team sessions.
Ferland Mendy and Endrick remain sidelined with their respective injuries, though Endrick was initially expected to return for this match. The Brazilian forward has been out since late May due to a muscle injury.
Sergio Francisco’s side has endured a difficult start to the campaign, failing to win any of their opening three matches. La Real currently sit 16th in the table with just two points from three games. They have scored only three goals while conceding four, highlighting both defensive vulnerabilities and a lack of cutting edge in attack.
Real Madrid started the season with three wins on the run and currently sit atop the table. Their last loss was against PSG in a FIFA Club World Cup encounter. Xabi Alonso’s men will be eager to continue their momentum with an away win against Real Sociedad.
Real Sociedad: Remiro; Aramburu, Zubeldia, Caleta-Car, Munoz; Gorrotxategi, Mendez; Kubo, Oyarzabal, Barrenetxea; Oskarsson.
Real Madrid: Courtois; Alexander-Arnold, Militao, Rudiger, Carreras; Tchouameni, Valverde; Mastantuono, Guller, Vinicius; Mbappe.
In the UK, Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid will be broadcast live on Premier Sports and the LALIGATV channel.
