Wolves appear set to move on Yerson Mosquera after relegation, with AS Colombia claiming the club have agreed with the defender’s camp that he will be sold this summer.

The Old Gold lost their Premier League place on Monday following West Ham United’s draw with Crystal Palace. They now drop into the Championship for 2026/27 and significant squad changes are expected.

Earlier this week it was suggested Wolves wanted nine players to form the core of a reshaped squad, and Mosquera was among them. The latest line indicates a departure is more likely, viewed as the likeliest way to ease the club’s finances.

No interested clubs or asking price have been mentioned. Premier League sides are said to be monitoring Mosquera, and given he cost about £4.5 million in 2021, Wolves could turn a profit.

While he has had disciplinary issues, Mosquera has shown he can play at Premier League level, his physicality and aggression helping him. The hope is that any sale reflects his quality and potential.
