Barça president Joan Laporta has once again dismissed the idea of Lionel Messi returning to FC Barcelona. Speaking at a club event, the Barcelona chief made his stance clear in comments reported by the Catalan press.
"The return of Leo Messi as a player is simply unrealistic. He has a contract with Inter Miami. The club is building a project for the present and for the future. It's complicated, and if you stay stuck in the past, you don't move forward," the Barcelona president explained.
As a reminder, Lionel Messi recently extended his contract with Inter Miami until December 2028.
