Darwin Nunez’s proposed move to Trabzonspor has been delayed by financial wrangling, despite talks being in their final stages. At issue are Al Hilal’s terms and unresolved payments owed to the striker.
61saat reports the Saudi club want an obligatory purchase clause in any loan, valued between 30 and 35 million euros, to recoup a significant part of their outlay.
Nunez is owed 12 million euros by Al Hilal, with the method of payment and associated taxes still being discussed. That impasse has delayed his arrival in Türkiye, initially pencilled in for 15 August.
Trabzonspor are prepared to cover eight million euros of the forward’s salary. They are resisting the mandatory buy option, which remains the principal sticking point.
Talks are said to be advanced, with only the salary split and the clause’s fine print outstanding. Both sides are understood to want the deal completed.
