Álvaro Núñez joins Celta from Elche on deal to 2030

Álvaro Núñez has joined Celta from Elche as their third and final winter signing, agreeing a deal through 30 June 2030.

According to Superdeporte, the Basque footballer has been a key figure under Eder Sarabia and was out of contract in June, with a further year optional if he reached 25 official games.

He had made 19 appearances so far, all from the start, despite missing the last three with pubalgia.

Celta concluded the window with departures including Tadeo Allende, Luca de la Torre, Fran Beltrán, Damián Rodríguez and Bryan Zaragoza, and added Fer López and Matías Vecino.

His transfer ends his spell at Elche, with the club thanking him for his professionalism, commitment and contribution to their promotion to Primera División.
