Francis Amuzu was the standout as Grêmio beat Internacional 3-0 in Gre-Nal 450, the first leg of the Campeonato Gaúcho final. In this rich vein of form, the forward is expected to be approached in the coming months to discuss an extension and a longer stay in Porto Alegre.

A guaranteed starter under Luís Castro, Amuzu is under contract until December this season. He joined in February 2025 after leaving Anderlecht, on the recommendation of then coach Gustavo Quinteros.

Reports in Belgium put his salary at around two million euros per year, roughly R$ 12 million, which equates to close to R$ one million a month.

To complete the signing, the administration of former president Alberto Guerra paid about 1.2 million euros, approximately R$ 7.2 million.

Since arriving, Amuzu has played 45 matches for the club, scoring eight goals and providing six assists.
