Avaí to play in Copa Santa Catarina U13 and U14 finals at Ressacada

Avaí Futebol Clube’s U-13 and U-14 youth teams will play the Copa Santa Catarina finals at home. The decisive matches will take place this Saturday at Ressacada Stadium. The schedule begins at 1 p.m. with the match between Avaí U-13 and Real Chapecó, followed by the U-14 final against Chapecoense, scheduled for 3 p.m.

In the first-leg matches, played in the western region of the state on September 19, the U-13 team, coached by Guilherme Pereira, beat Real Chapecó 3-0, taking an advantage into the second leg. Meanwhile, the U-14 side drew 0-0 with Chapecoense. Both Leão da Ilha teams reach the final stage of the competition unbeaten.

U-13

Avaí’s U-13 team has put together a flawless campaign. In the first stage, the team posted a 100% record, with six wins in six matches, scoring 22 goals and conceding 3. In the second stage, it maintained its performance, scoring 18 goals in three matches. In the semifinal, it secured a place in the final by defeating Guarani with a 6-1 aggregate score. The team also has the tournament’s two leading scorers: Luccas, with 12 goals, and Vinicius, with 8 goals.

U-14

The U-14 team, coached by Vitor Varela, has also stood out for its high level of performance. In 13 matches played throughout the championship, the Avaí side scored 65 goals and conceded only 3. In the first stage, it recorded six wins in six matches, with 35 goals scored and none conceded. The 100% record was maintained in the next stage, with three more victories. In the quarterfinals, the team beat Guarani with an 11-1 aggregate score, and in the semifinal, it secured a place in the final with two wins over Brusque, 2-0 and 3-1. The squad includes the competition’s three leading scorers: João Lucas (11 goals), Brenno (8 goals), and Bruno (7 goals).
