Barça expect €1.195 billion in revenue in 2026/27

One of the major points worth taking note is that Barcelona are forecasting another increase in revenue for the current 2026/27 season, with €1.195 billionn in income and projected expenditure of €1.133 billion.

The club expects revenue generated by the Spotify Camp Nou to increase by around €60 million, with Hansi Flick’s team scheduled to play their entire campaign at the stadium.

The cost of the sporting operation, including wages and player amortisation, is forecast to reach €636 million, equivalent to 53% of total revenue. That compares with €571 million, or 54%, at the end of 2025/26.

The increase in overall turnover will allow Barcelona to absorb higher salaries resulting from contract renewals for key players, as well as investment in some of the club’s other sporting sections.

Barcelona surpasses €1 billion in operating revenue

As already confirmed, Barcelona generated €1.06 billion in operating revenue during 2025/26, an increase of €66 million on the previous financial year and the first time the club has surpassed the €1 billion mark.

Barça attribute the rise to three main factors: improved revenue from Camp Nou and the team’s sporting performance, continued growth in sponsorship income to a new record level, and record merchandising sales through Barça Licensing & Merchandising.

Despite the increased turnover, Barcelona ended the year with an after-tax loss of €18 million.

Net debt rises by €138 million

According to the La Liga Financial Control criteria, Barcelona’s net debt stood at €607 million on 30 June 2026.

That represents an increase of €138 million, or 29%, compared with the €469 million recorded a year earlier. The rise interrupts the reduction in debt seen since its peak in 2021/22.

Barcelona say the main reason for the increase was a reduction in cash reserves, largely caused by the financial costs associated with the Espai Barça project.

Gross debt reached €910 million, €43 million higher than the previous financial year.

Player sales and loan operations, including variable payments from previous transfers, generated an aggregate profit of €43 million.
