Barcelona star expected to miss the next 6-7 months through injury | OneFootball

The worst fears of those in a position of power at La Liga giants Barcelona on Monday afternoon appear to have been confirmed. This comes amid widespread reports that youngster Roony Bardghji has suffered a serious knee injury.

Winger Bardghji linked back up with his Blaugrana teammates in pre-season training at the Ciutat Esportiva earlier today.

After being omitted from Hansi Flick’s travelling squad for a mini tournament in Italy over the weekend amid the efforts of the Camp Nou brass to find a new home for the Swede, Bardghji returned to work as normal this morning.

During an ensuing drill on the grass, however, the 20-year-old went to ground in evident distress, before being carried back inside for treatment.

And an ensuing round of medical tests carried out this afternoon have confirmed a heavy blow for club and player alike…

‘Barcelona winger Roony Bardghji has torn his ACL and will be out for the next 6-7 months. Terrible news for the Swedish winger who was about to leave on loan to get more minutes.’
