Braulio Vázquez maps out Valencia’s new technical department | OneFootball

Braulio Vázquez has begun rebuilding Valencia CF’s technical department, replacing the Gourlay and Isei era structure, centring operations in Paterna and boosting knowledge of LaLiga and LaLiga Hypermotion.

"I want someone by my side, like the song says," said Vázquez on Friday, speaking to Tribuna Deportiva.

"They would be in Valencia, then tell others, we travel here, there, we look for the profile we lack."

Names to coordinate alongside him include Domingo Catoira and Manuel Ruz. Ruz remains in the department and is well regarded, while Catoira is the leading option if Valencia fund an appointment, though any move would depend on his release from River Plate.

"I believe in data, but more in extrapolating contexts. Data are important, physical ones like speed too, but you must interpret contexts."
