Cameron Archer joins Auxerre on loan with no option to buy

Cameron Archer has joined Auxerre on loan from Southampton, with no option to buy, L'Équipe reports.

Auxerre, bottom of Ligue 1, moved to bolster their attack, completing the deal on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old came through at Aston Villa before moving to Southampton in 2024 for 17.6 million euros.

He remains under contract with the Saints until 2028 and is a former England Under-21 international with 11 caps.

Last season he played 1,359 minutes across 36 matches in all competitions, scoring six and providing four assists.
