Chelsea have turned down Leeds United’s initial season-long loan proposal for Mykhailo Mudryk, though negotiations are continuing.

Chelsea are willing to consider a loan to secure the winger more first-team football, with several clubs monitoring his situation. The Ukraine international last played in the Premier League on 10 November 2024, a 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. He joined from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 for £89m.

Leeds have prioritised their defence, signing centre-backs Tarik Muharemovic and Nico Elvedi from Sassuolo and Borussia Monchengladbach for a combined £39m. They also broke their transfer record to bring in James Trafford from Manchester City for £40m.
