Melvin Gomes, 18, is set to sign his first professional contract with Monaco despite strong interest from Chelsea, according to L’Équipe.

Born in Marseille, the defender joined Monaco in 2023. He can operate at centre-back and right-back, and currently features for the club's Groupe Élite while representing France at under-18 level.
