The Advocacia-Geral da União asked the Supreme Federal Court for a response within 72 hours to actions by the Associação Nacional de Jogos e Loterias and the Instituto Brasileiro de Jogo Responsável, which contest the measure over urgency and missing impact estimates.

The MP took effect on publication, but needs congressional approval within 120 days to remain valid. Any bill would only take effect after a parliamentary vote.
